EXERCISES YOU SHOULD AVOID

How many times have you guys done an exercise and as soon as you finish you feel pain and thought “DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG”?

In reality its not always you, there are a lot of exercises which bad for you and continue to exist only because its been passed down from one misinformed gym trainer to the next, no one realized that these common exercises are just not good for you.

So, today lets talk about exercises that all men and women should avoid.

  1. Ab Machine Exercises

These machines are not only a waste of time but also they are also very dangerous for your lower back, they are locked into a range of motion which means that your joints don’t travel down their natural path, they only travel down the path which the machine is set for them. Even if adjust the machine to your body perfectly still you can have lower back issues because you are still locked in a set range of motion through out the entire exercise and still get less results compared to regular abs exercises.

2.Behind the Head Shoulder Press

There is no advantage for you to go behind the head because even if you go behind the head you still targeting the same muscle you would target if you go in front of your head.if you go behind your head you putting your shoulders in a very compromised position and you cant lift heavy weights compared to the weights you would lift when you in front of your head. Going in front of your head would give you more muscle result than going behind your head. Doing this exercise won’t just hurt your shoulder joint but also your neck joint.

3. Smith Machine Exercises

Smith machine can be used as substitute for exercises but the way most men do it should be avoided. Smith machine should also be avoided when doing squats because most exercises like squats and presses they all help prevent injury but in smith machine due the fact that it looks like a barbell its very easy to forget that it is not a free weight exercise meaning it does not a free range of motion, just like most exercise machines it is locked in a range of motion. When you are using smith machine for squats you putting your body in an unnatural squatting pattern which increases the risks for back injuries as your hips are also not allowed to freely move through the natural movement.
